- Activated multi-factor authentication
- sudo rights on the Linux device

Essentials in short
- In the browser, call up the address https://univpn.uni-graz.at
- Select Group: Students
- Enter your access data in the following format:
- Username: vorname.nachname@edu.uni-graz.at
- Password: UNIGRAZonline password
- Open the MFA app, a numerical code will be generated there
- Enter the one-time code
- Click on Start Anyconnect
- You will receive the download link according to your operating system
- Save file
- Open a terminal switch to the folder where you downloaded the file
- Enter the command:
- sudo chmod +x 'filename_ciscoanyconnect.sh'
- Now start the installation with the following command:
- sudo ./'filename_ciscoanyconnect.sh'
- Enter your sudo privileges
- To accept the licence terms
- Enter: y
- Enter: y
- Open the Cisco AnyConnect Secure Mobility Client
- Server address: univpn.uni-graz.at
- Enter your credentials in the following format:
- Username: vorname.nachname@edu.uni-graz.at
- Password: UNIGRAZonline password
- Open the MFA-App, there a number code will be generated
- Enter the one-time code
- If the connection is successful, confirmation will appear at the top of the desktop that you are connected to the University network and can now use various University resources from home.
