Short overview
A one-time password (OTP) is required as a second, additional factor to the UNIGRAZonline password. This password can be generated via an app of your choice on your smartphone.
The following free apps can be used to generate the one-time password:
- Google Playstore: GoogleAuthenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, privacyIDEA Authenticator or FreeOTP
- Apple Store: GoogleAuthenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, privacyIDEA Authenticator or FreeOTP
The use of other apps is not recommended, both in terms of technical functionality and privacy protection.
When you log in for the first time, you will be redirected to the set-up process.
Once you have set up multi-factor authentication, you can manage your access settings via the page login.uni-graz.at, for example to set up an additional login method (a ‘trusted’ browser, passkey).
