Access to e-mail services

Webmail/webaccess

Webaccess is the simplest way to receive and send e-mails via a browser.  Gain access via our PC workplaces or your device at home.

via smartphone, tablet, etc.

No matter where you are, you can receive and send e-mails with your smartphone or tablet, be it Android, Apple iPhone, Blackberry, Symbian (Nokia) or Windows Mobile. All you need is to ensure that your smartphone supports Exchange ActiveSync. Besides access via an Exchange ActiveSync client, IMAP is also supported.

Students can access e-mails from their working device via an e-mail client (e. g. Outlook or Thunderbird).

With “Outlook Anywhere”, students can directly access their Uni mailbox – even without a VPN. Data is transmitted via a secured connection between client and server and is equally protected as with a VPN.

Students can also access their e-mails from outside the Uni network, using the IMAP protocol. However, if you use the University mail server, you can only send messages within the University network. Outside University, you have to use the local provider’s outgoing mail server.

Forwarding

Any forwarding of e-mails can be done via your business card on UNIGRAZonline. Please make sure you enter the correct e-mail account. The University does not provide support for forwarded e-mails.
