Remote access to your storage location (File service) in Linux using Gnome GUI - Nautilus

Describes how to get access to your storage location at University via WebDAV when you are off campus.

What you need

  • Active account in UNIGRAZonline

 

Short overview

  1. Open a Nautilus window.
  2. Then, select the Place from the Go to menu in Nautilus.
  3. Enter the path to your personal storage location: davs://webdav.edu.uni-graz.at/fs/home/[2nd character of username]/[Username]
  4. Authenticate yourself using the following access data:
    • UNIGRAZonline username
    • UNIGRAZonline password
  5. Save the link as a bookmark by clicking Bookmark » Add bookmark in the menu.
  6. In order to disconnect the link, click the Eject icon in the sidebar.
