Account locked
If the IT-Security of uniIT detects a security threat emanating from an account holder, the account will be blocked immediately to minimize the damage. The account holder will NOT be notified by e-mail in order to avoid using the same channel as our attackers.
Detect account lockouts
If you are unable to log in to UNIGRAZonline, webmail or uniLOGIN, you can assume that your account has been locked. Use the corresponding services of uniIT to check! Risky third-party apps such as Studo are NOT suitable for this purpose.
Please note that a block does not always have to be security-related. For example, the account may have been terminated due to expiration or there may be a technical problem.
Recover account
In the event of an account suspension, the account can be recovered in most cases. The following minimum requirements are necessary for this:
- Notification: Notification at the service desk with establishment of identity and disclosure of contact details.
- Clarification: Active assistance in clarifying the incident within the framework of the awareness discussion.
- Measures: Change of access data such as the password, implementation of the necessary technical or organizational measures
- Prevention: Participation in awareness training if necessary
Note on passwords: Passwords are personal and must be kept secret! Employees of uniIT will never ask you for your password. Please do not write it in e-mails or in the ticket system. If you do, your account must be blocked immediately!
